
Abstract
We started by understanding the olive oil production process, and research the very complex process,not only of producing of sourcing.
The result, alongside with Deoleo we discover the impact that certain practices were having in the production and the quality of the oil, shifting our perception of the practices of production finding out not only that the product could be better treated but also discovering a cheaper method reducing the number of pesticides in the growth of the olives.

By researching the series of discoveries done by deoleo and independent organizations, and traveling along the coast and south of Spain, we have dived into several opportunities, sourcing matter, with the same characteristics of grapes the amount of oil produced by the fruit is equivalent as the soil and location from where the olive comes from, giving us a denomination advantage.

Along side deoleo we wanted to distribute these advantages together to all brands that the company produced, but in principle Carbonell will be shifted from a cheap competitor to a high-quality premium product with 4 new products on shelf.

Premium denomination by region.
Olive oil is often perceived as a commodity, research have shown that olive oil mostly competes by discount prices in shelf. With different competitor from different regions emerging, we found an opportunity in 100-year-old trees.
By identifying and visualizing product region and denomination, we were able to identify different spectrum of flavors that will open a whole new world for cooking, topping and oil utilization, different notes will always create the perception that you could have different olives oils in the same hose hold for different purposes ending years of malpractice and depreciation of a premium quality products.
